Echayan’s friends from the School/College days often comment about his ability to sing
(and act in dramas). After officiating in his 40th day Church Memorial Service, Vattakunnel
Thirumeni told the gathering how much he enjoyed singing with my father.

One thing is certain - all of Pullolickal Thomachen's childern have an aptitude for music.
Many  grand children are also chips off the old block in this respect.

As pointed out in the Sosakutty Page, Amma was really a Star Singer. Amma (and her
mother)  used to sit with the children round a lighted “Nilavilakku” in the evenings and sang
many Malayalam Hymns before the prayer.  Another noteworthy point is the early morning
singing in the Kothala House. Sitting on the bed, Echayan would start the devotional song
"Anugrahangalute Utayavanaakum Karthru Karthave”.  Amma will then join in the singing
followed by the children from different rooms as they woke up one after another. This song
was the followed by morning  prayer
.
